Located in our hometown of New Haven Connecticut, Amistad Academy is a public, high-performing, college-preparatory academy.
The student demographics of Amistad Academy are predominantly African American or Hispanic. Achievement First, who runs Amistad Academy, as well as 18 other academies in Brooklyn and Connecticut, provide students with the academic and character skills they need to achieve at high levels, graduate from college and become leaders in their communities. Amistad has been trained in Emotional Literacy for School Leaders, The Anchors of Emotional Literacy, and a RULER workshop on Meta-Moments.
