The RULER Approach, developed by researchers at Yale University, is an evidence-based social and emotional learning program dedicated to enriching the lives of educators, students, and families.
Train-the-Trainer Level 1- The Anchors of Emotional Literacy (August Seminar)
If you can't make it to the May Train-the-Trainer Seminar, please join us in August to bring The RULER Approach to Social and Emotional Learning to your School!
Course Overview
The RULER Approach makes the case that in order to create caring, productive, and engaging learning environments, where students thrive and become successful citizens, it is necessary for schools to provide structured learning opportunities to develop the skills of Recognizing, Understanding, Labeling, Expressing, and Regulating emotion (known as the "RULER" skills) for all stakeholders. Workshop participants hone their own RULER skills and learn how to leverage the RULER skills to engage students in learning, help them cope with stress, decrease bullying, increase academic performance, and to become engaged citizens.
